W marcu 2025r. w Pracowni Analiz Chemicznych odbyło się kolejnespotkanie w ramach Klubu Młodego Odkrywcy. Młodzi Odkrywcy Staszica pod opieką dr Roksany Rzyckiej – Korzec sporządzali preparaty lecznicze na bazie olejków eterycznych, takich jak:
– Menthae piperitae aetheroleum – olejek miętowy,
– Lavandulae aetheroleum – olejek lawendowy,
– Anisi aetheroleum – olejek anyżowy
Olejek miętowy łac. Menthae piperitae aetheroleum – wykazuje wielokierunkowe działanie, dzięki zawartości mentolu.
Olejek lawendowy łac. Lavandulae aetheroleum –– działa przeciwbakteryjnie, przeciwbólowo, a także jest składnikiem soli trzeźwiących i mieszanek stosowanych w profilaktyce PMI bądź jako środek zapachowy przy produkcji Spiritusu Lavandulae oraz Spiritusu Saponis kalini.
Olejek anyżowy łac. Anisi aetheroleum –– zmniejsza napięcie mięśni gładkich oraz ułatwia trawienie, jest składnikiem anyżówki oraz Spiritusu Ammonii anisatus.

Każdy z olejków posiada tylko jeden dominujący składnik, najczęściej z grupy mono- i seskwiterpenów, który decyduje o jego silnym i charakterystycznym zapachu.

In March 2025, another meeting of the Young Explorers Club took place at the Chemical Analysis Laboratory. Staszic’s Young Explorers, under the supervision of Dr. Roksana Rzycka – Korzec, prepared medicinal preparations based on essential oils, such as:
– Menthae piperitae aetheroleum – peppermint oil,
– Lavandulae aetheroleum – lavender oil,
– Anisi aetheroleum – anise oil
Peppermint oil Latin Menthae piperitae aetheroleum – has a multifaceted effect, thanks to the menthol content.
Lavender oil Latin Lavandulae aetheroleum – has antibacterial, analgesic effects, and is also a component of smelling salts and mixtures used in the prevention of PMI or as a fragrance in the production of Spiritus Lavandulae and Spiritus Saponis kalini.
Anise oil Latin Anisi aetheroleum –– reduces smooth muscle tension and facilitates digestion, is a component of aniseed and Spiritus Ammonii anisatus.

Each of the oils has only one dominant component, most often from the group of mono- and sesquiterpenes, which determines its strong and characteristic smell.
